Job Title: Project Manager – Financial Services
Employer: DFP Recruitment Client – State Government
Position Type: 6 month Full Time Casual Temporary Contract – Potential Extension (ASAP Start)
Pay Rate: $70  -77 per hour + Super
Location: Perth CBD, WA 6000
Role Overview: Management of the new E-Invoicing project
Key Responsibilities;
  • Leads and manages the Peppol eInvoicing project ensuring delivery of key project milestones and outcomes.
  • Provides strategic oversight for the scope and delivery of the Peppol eInvoicing project.
  • Develops and implements strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the project, including risk and contingency management to identify and address issues as well as assess project progress.
  • Collaborates and engages with key stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Prepares advice, briefing notes, reports and presentations to the eInvoicing Steering Committee, Corporate Executives and other stakeholders as required.
  • Leads regular progress update meetings within the Department and with all stakeholders. (Project team/ State Government Departments)
  • Strategically balances resourcing and timelines to deliver maximum value.
  • Keeps up to date with contemporary best practice and thinking.
  • Develops and maintains strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identifies, manages and develops deliverables to ensure the right skills are available to the organisation to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Applies curiosity and performs other duties as required.
 
Essential to be successful in this role:  
  • Considerable experience with modern financial reporting systems and delivering outcomes in an environment with complex financial and management reporting obligations, pressures and expectations. This will include the application of legislation and the Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including experience in consulting with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex legislation, and the ability to research complex issues and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Strong conceptual, financial analytical and evaluation skills, including the ability to provide high level innovative solutions to complex financial problems.
  • Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Personal Leadership as outlined below.
  • Current valid NPC or ability to obtain one
