Communications Consultant - Transport Infrastructure Projects
State Government Opportunity | Immediate Start | 6-Month Contract
Location: Stirling St, Perth WA 6000
Contract Duration: 18th November 2024 - 16th May 2025 (6 months)
Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week (flexible between 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday)

About the Role:
DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Communications Consultant to join our State Government client, supporting large transport infrastructure projects. The role involves developing and delivering communication strategies and materials, fostering stakeholder relationships, and providing clear, effective communication across a diverse range of channels. Key responsibilities include:
  • Creating and implementing communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Writing ministerial correspondence, briefing notes, and responses to Parliamentary questions.
  • Gathering and analyzing information to solve communication challenges.
  • Facilitating presentations to various groups and individuals.
Essential Criteria:
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering communication and stakeholder engagement strategies within complex projects.
  • Strong written communication skills, with experience drafting ministerial correspondence, briefing notes, and responses to Parliamentary questions.
  • Experience in designing community education communication campaigns.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in facilitating and delivering presentations to groups and individuals.
  • A degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or Management.
