Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and process planning applications in line with State Government policies and regulations.
- Conduct land use planning, urban development assessments, and strategic planning activities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality planning outcomes.
- Prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant planning laws, policies, and procedures.
- Proven experience in a Planning Officer or similar role within a government or public sector environment.
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and processes in Western Australia.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently within tight deadlines.
- Tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field is highly desirable.
