Job Title: N&I Facilities Operations Officer
Employer: DFP Recruitment Client
Position Type: 6 month Full Time Casual Temporary Contract
Pay Rate: $51.31 per hour + Super
Location: Perth, WA 6000
Role Overview: The Facilities Manager oversees the delivery of facilities services, ensuring well-maintained buildings with minimal disruption. Responsibilities include managing maintenance, safety audits, compliance, office moves, contractor performance, and cost control, while promoting sustainability and business continuity.


Key Responsibilities;
 
  • Effectively plan and schedule the delivery of all hard and soft facilities services to ensure facilities are well maintained with limited disruption to building occupants and zero impact to business continuity.
  • Management of work requests to ensure breakdown, corrective and planned maintenance works are completed within required timeframes and to a high standard.
  • Management of maintenance records to ensure compliance with Facilities branch standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure service providers are compliant with safety standards.
  • Conduct building inspection to ensure buildings assets are maintained to a high standard and any deficiencies are promptly addressed.
  • Implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Monitor maintenance expenditure and identify cost saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
  • Plan and oversee office moves and renovations.
  • Ensure service delivery and contractor performance is in accordance with contract requirements. Take action to improve performance as necessary.
  • Work in conjunction with the Facilities Operations Coordinator to review service delivery and implement service improvement initiatives as required.
  • Timely assessment and processing of invoices to ensure compliance with payment terms.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and operational areas within the organisation to ensure facilities related works do not impact business critical operations.
  • Review and monitor work practices to identify potential business improvement opportunities.
  • Promote and implements sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impacts of facilities. Monitor energy usages and develop strategies for energy efficiency.  
 
Essential to be successful in this role:  
  • Previous Facilities Management experience and knowledge of building maintenance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise works.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant industry standards and statutory regulation requirements in a facilities management environment.
  • Highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to resolve problems, negotiate and consult with a range of stakeholders and contractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and effectively contribute to achieving team goals and business outcomes.
  • Current valid NPC or ability to obtain one
