Job Title: Financial Analyst
Employer: DFP Recruitment Client – State Government
Position Type: 6 Months Full time Casual Temporary Contract (ASAP START)
Pay Rate: $82 per hour + Super
Location: Fremantle, WA 6160
Key Responsibilities:
•    Project manages the development and implementation of business intelligence systems across the agency.
•    Understand and interpret internal and external stakeholder requirements; develop modelling tools and capabilities to identify new business insights; provide expert advice in the analysis and interpretation, improve visibility of trends and their demand drivers to support reform, strategic planning and innovation.
•    Provide advice and training to staff and stakeholders as required, particularly in relation to data collection, manipulation, analysis and modelling.
•    Assists with the refinement and management of the client's Activity Based Costing model.
•    Assists with analysis and modelling of regulated and unregulated fees and charges. Assists with the setting and implementation of annual fees and charges (both regulated and unregulated).

Essential to be successful in the role:
•    Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, contemporary financial modelling practices and systems.
•    Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills including advanced user skills in Excel, Power Query and Power BI and the use of financial management and other information systems to develop appropriate modelling.
•    Demonstrated ability to perform commercial and economic analysis of organisational performance including strategic and corporate planning, business performance, financial and people performance.
•    Experience in the timely delivery of significant and complex projects.
•    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including within a team environment and contribute to the achievement of team goals and objectives.
•    Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
•    Possession of an economics or accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
•    Applies and promotes the principles of equity, diversity and work health and safety in the workplace.
