About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced APS6 Project & Classification Officer to join a dynamic team. You will play an essential role in supporting the development and refinement of classifications, specifications, and metadata while contributing to program management and stakeholder relationships. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence national policies and improve healthcare and aged care systems across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Facilitate cross-agency collaboration, conduct research, and manage projects through to implementation.
  • Leadership & Accountability: Provide technical expertise, contribute to strategic planning, and ensure the quality and timeliness of outputs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet expectations and objectives.
  • Independence & Decision-Making: Work independently with limited direction to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Capabilities:
  • Program & Project Management: Strong skills in managing programs, planning, and driving successful outcomes.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to make informed decisions while adhering to regulatory guidelines and best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Work Plan Implementation: Proven organizational skills to prioritize and manage tasks effectively.
  • Clinical Expertise: A clinical background is desirable, particularly for classification development in healthcare and aged care settings.
