Communications Consultant – State Government Opportunity
DFP Recruitment – Perth, WA
DFP Recruitment Perth is currently seeking applications for an experienced Communications Consultant to work with a State Government client based in East Perth.
This is an exciting short-term opportunity, ideal for someone with strong communication skills and experience delivering stakeholder engagement and communication services within large, complex organisations.
Key Details:
  • Location: East Perth (Don Aitken Centre)
    Please note parking is not provided. Public parking is available nearby (uphill walk to the office).
  • Start Date: 3 June 2025
  • End Date: 8 December 2025 (approx. 27 weeks)
  • Hours: 38 hours per week, worked flexibly between 6:00am and 6:00pm depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver communication services for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare a variety of written materials including Ministerial responses, briefing notes, media enquiries, and social media content.
  • Support communication and stakeholder engagement activities across metropolitan and regional projects.
  • Liaise effectively with internal directorates and operational branches.
Essential Criteria:
  • Strong written communication skills for a range of audiences.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering communication and engagement materials.
  • Ability to research, analyse and solve problems.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  • Confident presentation and facilitation skills.
Desirable:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing.
