On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency we are looking for an EL1 Assistant Director – Business Case Cost Modelling. This role will play a key part in driving high-impact projects, providing expert financial insights, and shaping critical business decisions. This is an opportunity to lead complex financial modelling and cost analysis, influence policy and operational strategies with data-driven insights, and manage key stakeholder relationships at senior levels.
This role is a 6 month assignment based in Richmond or Geelong.

- Conduct Excel-based financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis.
- Provide expert advice on project design, governance, and operational integration.
- Oversee reporting, risk management, and quality assurance for major initiatives.
- Prepare and review business cases, reports, and executive briefings.
- Expertise in Excel-based modelling, cost-benefit analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to develop, implement, and oversee complex project plans, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Strong analytical skills to assess financial data, identify risks, and provide innovative solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage relationships, present insights, and influence decision-makers.
