Job description

On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency we are looking for a Senior Cost Modelling Analyst (APS6), you'll play a key leadership role, using your expertise in financial modelling, cost-benefit analysis, and strategic planning to drive insights and influence critical business decisions. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, work on high-impact projects, and shape policy outcomes.

This role is a 6 month assignment and can be based in Richmond or Geelong.

Responsibilities include;
  • Develop and manage project plans that drive efficiency.
  • Provide specialist advice and technical expertise to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis to support critical business objectives.
  • Prepare executive briefs, business cases, and corporate documentation
  • Identify and manage project risks while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate;
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Experience in financial modelling, project management, and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills – translating technical insights into clear recommendations.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to lead and manage competing priorities.
