Job description

  • Federal Government opportunity in Sydney or Newcastle
  • Labour Hire Contract until December 2025
  • $60.62 per hour + super
Our Client is a Federal Government body that supports Australians and their families by valuing a positive contemporary attitude to disability. They are currently seeking an APS6 Scrum Master to join their Service Design and Improvement team.

This role will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice, as well as coordinating and assisting in the strategic planning, policy development, and program/project management.

Duties will include:
  • Supporting the project manager to manage Managing project scope, timelines and general project coordination.
  • Working in line with the Agency’s Agile project approach.
  • Coordinating sprints and retrospective meetings which review the previous project and daily scrum stand-ups.
  • Coaching team members in agile frameworks and scrum practices.
  • Working with product owners to develop and handle product backlogs and new requests.
  • Guiding development service design teams to higher scrum maturity.
  • Helping to build a productive environment where team members have accountability for the product.
  • Managing the governance of the project against Agency frameworks and escalating concerns, as necessary.
 About You
This role would suit a Junior Scrum Master who is looking to further their career.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide information and advice to a range of stakeholders
  • Time management and ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Ability to work independently but also able to work effectively in a team
  • Data analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
