APS5 Operations Officer – Federal Government Contract
Midland, WA & Darwin, NT | $55.24/hr | 3 Positions Available
Essential Skills & Requirements:
  • Australian Citizenship (mandatory for Federal Government roles)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management abilities
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and team collaboration
  • Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and meet key performance targets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Labour hire position (casual loading included; no leave entitlements)
Role Overview: Join a Federal Agency that works to make a positive impact on Australians with disabilities. As an APS5 Operations Officer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting Home and Living programs, resolving complex enquiries, and driving process improvements. This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is capable of balancing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide secretariat support and handle enquiries related to Home and Living decisions
  • Resolve participant issues and complaints effectively
  • Lead initiatives that improve service processes and program outcomes
  • Analyze data to create reports and dashboards for operational planning
  • Contribute to team goals and performance targets
  • Support and mentor team members on technical and administrative tasks
Contract Details:
  • Start Date: 13th January 2025 (pending pre-employment checks)
  • End Date: 31st December 2025
  • Extensive background checks required, taking approximately 4 weeks. The client can accommodate standard notice periods.
