Reporting to the Head of Customer Operations, you will handle billing queries and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through prompt resolution of billing issues, accurate billing, payment allocations, and records maintenance. This role suits an ambitious professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and can work both independently and as part of a team to provide excellent service and support.

As the Billing Specialist, you will:
  • Oversee the complete billing process for electricity and gas.
  • Resolve billing issues efficiently within internal standards.
  • Ensure billing accuracy and compliance with agreements and pricing.
  • Provide expert advice to business and project teams.
  • Address complex customer and stakeholder inquiries and complaints.
  • Develop and maintain billing processes and procedures.
  • Perform audits and reconciliations of accounts and payments.
  • Generate regular operational reports.
  • Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices.
  • Identify and implement improvements to business processes.
  • Manage special projects assigned by leadership.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing for system upgrades and new software.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment and changing operational demands.
You will be a good candidate if you have:
  • Experience in the retail energy market, including C&I billing, network tariffs, and billing practices.
  • Strong decision-making skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and report generation.
  • Commitment to positive customer outcomes and strong relationships.
