We are seeking APS5 Offers and Payments Officers to join a Federal Government department located in Greenway ACT. This contract is up to 12 months, which includes paid leave and 15.4% superannuation.

The Service Delivery Branch is responsible for managing the end-to-end process for applications made under the Scheme. This includes liaising with applicants, receiving and validating applications, assessing and developing recommendations based on the legislation and advising outcomes to applicants.

What you will do:
- Apply the National Redress Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse Act 2018 and relevant policies, procedures and guidelines to progress applications
- Make and receive calls to applicants and their nominees (this includes receiving calls from the National Redress Scheme phone line)
- Prepare, edit and quality check letters and notices sent to applicants, nominees and institutions
- Conduct detailed research and prepare complex request for information packages
- Code application information in Case Manager, keeping accurate and comprehensive records
- Under limited direction, be accountable for organising workflow and escalating risks and issues when needed.

- Understands relevant government privacy, ethics and workplace health and safety and security protocols
- Interprets complex information and identifies key aspects to support validation, assessment and recommendation processes
- Possesses high-level research and analytical skills to make accurate conclusions based on information and evidence
- Possesses high-level accuracy and attention to detail in reading, writing and talking about applications, as well as the processing and recording of information
- Has self-awareness and the ability to self-manage in a complex, changing environment whilst in a diverse team with a high workload in a high-risk environment.
Offers and Payments role specific:
- Use Case Management system to accurately code an Independent Decision Maker’s determination
- Draft quality documents and use information sources available for accuracy
- Quality Assurance of the work of team member and documents for posting
- Monitor group mailboxes and accurately progress allocated work
- Move documents into Case Manager and validation of these documents
- Accept and, where necessary, return hard copy applications
- Progress acceptance documents for applicant payments
- Quality assure payment instalment changes and all documents confirming payment
- Make calls to applicant and/or their nominees to support outcomes and payments being finalised.
