Job description

Our Client is a Federal Government body that supports Australians and their families by valuing a positive contemporary attitude to disability. They are currently seeking APS4 Budget Management Support Planners to join the reform and transition team. The positions will provide operational and administrative support within the service delivery area.

There are multiple opportunities available in Wollongong, Parramatta, Penrith & Campbelltown. These are assignments until the end of December 2025 and will be paying $43.82 per hour plus super.

Duties will include:

  • Analysing participants records using a range of policies, practice guidance and legislation to make funding decisions
  • Work with participants and their representatives via phone to identify current circumstances and spending patterns
  • Maintain high quality records and adhere to process guidelines and operating procedures
  • Research and review decisions and manage moderately complex cases
  • Administration tasks and data entry
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide information and advice to a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations
  • Time management and ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Ability to work independently but also able to work effectively in a team
  • Data analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Competency with IT systems
  • Must be able to work from office during training period
  • Experience working in a Disability, Service Delivery or Government setting would be advantageous
