Job description

Job Title: Work Health and Safety Officer
Employer: DFP Recruitment Client – State Government
Position Type: 3 month Full Time (38 hours) Casual Temporary Contract 
Pay Rate: $44 per hour + Super
Location: Perth CBD, WA 6004

Key Responsibilities;
  • Managing the working from home register to ensure compliance and record-keeping.
  • Conducting safety checks and developing skills in safety investigations.
  • Updating and maintaining WHS resources on the intranet.
  • Assisting in the review and development of WHS policies.
  • Maintaining accurate workers' compensation records.
  • Performing baseline ergonomic checks to support employee well-being.
Essential to be successful in this role;
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles and practices.
  • Experience working within a WHS team.
  • Prior Government experience
  • A keen interest in learning and contributing to workplace safety initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience or interest in policy writing and ergonomic assessment is a plus.
  • Current valid NPC or ability to obtain
