The role
We are looking for an experienced customer-focused salesperson who can multitask and work collaboratively.
- Be on site and set up the shop in readiness for the start of business each morning at 8.00am.
- Receive and dispatch custom orders as required and arrange stock transfer including booking couriers and transport where necessary.
- Competent on the computer systems, Including using Nexus - Quote, Create Pick slip, Invoice, Stock control.
- Self-check the volume and corrects SKU’s to ensure that credits are kept to a minimum .
- Assist sales staff with answering phone calls or internal customers when needed – basic quoting, order entry, invoicing, general advice.
- Understand the freight software or connote systems and ensure all goods are sent by the correct, cost effective and safe manner.
- Reordering of warehouse consumables – eg wrap, tape paper.
- Maintain clean and safe workplace.
- Assemble / restock low SKU’s in the showroom to help keep the shop present to the standard of a Richmond retail outlet.
- Assist in ensuring that the stock levels are correct and advising your managers when variations or shortfalls are found.
- Accurately receiving in stock transfers from other branches.
- Perform deliveries / pickups in company Ute when needed.
- Work towards improving store.
- Work as directed by branch operations manger.
- Ensure all showroom display stock have labels and up to date & correct pricing.
- Responsible for maintenance & running of Forklift.
- Re-order Metro, Outer Metro & Collect courier labels and con-notes when required.
- Book waste companies for emptying of general waste, recycle and plastic bins.
- Assist with sales and marketing activities when required including telemarketing.
- Put Advertising banners and promotional stock out the front of store at beginning of the day, put away at end of the day.
You will have the following:
- 3+ years relevant experience in selling and providing after sales support on industrial hardware products.
- Brings technical product industry knowledge, trends and relevant practices into the business.
- Have keen situational analysis, an ability to size up situations quickly and accurately. Customer focused.
- Sets high standards for personal performance.
- Uses personal influence to achieve desired initiatives.
- Collaborates with colleagues to ensure that proposed initiatives are in the best interests of the business.
- Proven ability to work successfully in a fast paced and team environment. Can multi-task.
- Fast learner; asks questions and retains information. Not afraid to get hands dirty.
- Intermediate working level of Microsoft Office applications.
- Forklift License not required, but desirable.
