Job description

About the Role:
Are you an experienced Traffic Management professional with a passion for minimizing road user disruptions? We are seeking a skilled Traffic Management Planner to develop and implement contingency traffic management plans, ensuring smooth and efficient traffic flow across our client's network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contingency Planning: Develop and enhance contingency traffic management plans with input from key stakeholders to address potential disruptions.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance on traffic and contingency management planning to minimize disruptions for road users.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement best practices and procedures for contingency traffic management.
  • Plan Review: Evaluate and recommend traffic management plans for major projects and planned events to ensure minimal impact.
  • Signal Operations Review: Assess signal operations using the Sydney Co-ordinated Adaptive Traffic System (SCATS) to optimize traffic flow.
  • Effectiveness Assessment: Monitor and report on the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of the road network, suggesting improvements to contingency management plans.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Essential: Advanced Worksite Traffic Management Accreditation.
  • Desirable: Experience with AutoCAD and a strong understanding of traffic management principles and practices.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in traffic management and planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret traffic data.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
