Our client a leader within their industry is looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer based at their Bentley location. Within this role you will support the achievement of the business objective of reliability through the development of strategies and initiatives for managing asset performance to meet corporate KPIs. During this role you will be advising on the maintenance and continuous improvement of network assets in accordance with corporate and divisional systems and frameworks to deliver a safe, reliable, and quality power supply within operational budgets.

Key Activities/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement analysis methods to determine the performance of systems and asset classes to improve system reliability, including the review/development of asset criticality, asset condition assessment criteria, and similar assessment protocols.
- Review the company’s reliability performance and identify and develop pragmatic short-term opportunities to improve current system performance under the direction of the System Performance Manager.
- Identify and manage the development of reliability-driven strategies and improvement initiatives for managing asset performance to enable the development of a holistic Asset Management Plan (covering generation, distribution, transmission, and secondary assets) annually in accordance with the Asset Management Framework.
- Develop a repeatable approach and protocols to continually review and improve the company’s system reliability.
- Promote long-term strategic programs to increase the efficiency of the company’s assets, referencing long-term planning objectives.
- Implement and manage processes and reporting that enable data-based decision-making for optimum reliability across the system.
- Provide advice for the operations of the assets to ensure an effective and efficient operating regime that delivers reliability and safety while providing economic benefits and staying within approved budgets.
- Provide other reliability engineering advice and support as required.
- Engage and manage consultants/contractors as required.
- Perform any other duties incidental to the role.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and data mining skills to perform reliability-based data analysis using contemporary tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of asset performance criteria and assessment.
- Experience in power system asset management, maintenance, and operational strategies, planning processes, and practices.
- Industry membership and/or qualification in areas of asset management/reliability/maintenance. (desirable)
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, suitable professional qualifications and experience.
- Must possess a WA Driver’s Licence Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’.
