About the Role:
As a Senior Business Officer, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Strategic financial planning and budget management for research initiatives
- Developing business cases and financial reports to aid decision-making
- Managing accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and ensuring financial compliance
- Providing policy and governance advice related to research fund management
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders across finance, business, and research teams
- 6-month contract with potential for extension
- Competitive pay: Approximately $55-$60 per hour plus super, depending on experience (inclusive of 25% casual loading)
- Engagement in a healthcare and research-driven environment
- Opportunities to work with senior leadership and contribute to impactful projects
- Extensive experience in business and financial management within complex organizations
- Proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliations, and business planning
- Knowledge of financial frameworks, policy compliance, and governance in research or healthcare settings
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
