Job description

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager to join our clients project team. Reporting to the Project Director, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the engagement of both internal team and System Integrator (SI) to deliver the project’s outcomes. This role requires you to lead the planning, management, and execution of all phases of the project, from design to deployment and decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Phase:
  • Oversee SI delivery of critical project business case deliverables.
  • Manage the preparation and approval of the SAP Revised Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Lead negotiations for licensing contracts with SAP.
  • Develop and finalize the Approval-to-Deliver (ATD) Business Case (Initial) and Benefits Realisation Plan.
Delivery Phase:
  • Coordinate client delivery efforts and ensure alignment with the Design Phase outcomes.
  • Prepare and secure approval for the Final ATD Business Case.
  • Oversee the creation and approval of Statements of Work (SOW) for design implementation.
  • Manage legal and commercial documentation for SAP licensing and SOW negotiations.
  • Handle third-party vendor management, technical integration, and technical environments build and support.
  • Plan and execute decommissioning activities post-production go-live.
  • Engage with key business and technical stakeholders to address delivery issues and manage project scope, schedule, dependencies, and other key aspects.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in complex IT projects.
  • Strong background in preparing business cases and managing commercial negotiations.
  • Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA is desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders from both business and technical areas.
  • Expertise in handling legal and commercial matters related to contract negotiations and business case creation.
  • Proficiency in managing risks, issues, dependencies, and actions within a matrix team structure.
  • Experience in planning and delivering SAP infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to ensure project deliverables meet expectations across design, build, test, and deploy phases.
