Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety and Quality Officer to our Government clients team. This role is pivotal in facilitating and coordinating the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of patient safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with National Standards and accreditation requirements, as well as drive clinical excellence activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and coordinate patient safety and quality improvement activities.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve clinical excellence.
  • Manage and prepare databases related to safety and quality metrics.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Sound knowledge of patient safety and quality improvement processes, the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, and their application in a health environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with MS applications, data management and collation with ability to create communication material for a diverse audience. 
  • Project management experience with the ability to work collaboratively internally and externally.
  • High level communication skills
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
