Job description

DFP Perth are seeking an Accounts officer to engage in a temporary contract for 6 months with our State Government client based in Perth  

Start Date: October 2024 

End Date: 6-month contract with the possibility of extension  

Location: Perth

Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week  

Salary Range: 30-35p/h +super

As the Cash management officer, you will perform accounts payable (administration), banking and receipting processes and assists in purchasing functions. You will undertake related reconciliations and reporting whilst providing support to the Cash Management Accountant.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform Accounts Payable functions including creating and maintaining all invoices in Oracle and send to appropriate approvers in accordance with the Delegations and Authorisations manual.
  • Follow-up invoices which require action and assist with invoice and/or payment queries.
  • Ensure reasonableness of account coding and any tax implications (i.e. FBT/GST) and that EFT details are current.
  • Perform payment functions in Commbiz.
  • Perform the banking and receipting function including printing and distribution of receipting
  • Provides support as required in the performance of the duties of the Purchasing Officers, including claimant and staff travel requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role with a customer service focus
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Perform Accounts Payables/Receivables functions
  • Ability to think flexibly with a desire for service delivery innovation.
