About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established Australian owned local business situated in Morwell. Having been in operation for over 40 years, they are a well-established and well known for providing premium quality brands. Our client specialises and provides a very broad range of work wear, corporate uniforms, safety products and equipment.

The Position
Responsible for providing procurement services to the company, including but not limited to purchasing and expediting, stock management and optimisation, developing and maintaining stock min/max processes across multiple stores, and evaluating vendor performance. 
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Foster exceptional supplier partnerships through ongoing business enhancements
  • Collaborate with managers to create demand plans and set replenishment parameters for procurement products
  • Investigate and address defects, deficiencies, warranties, and non-conformance's as needed
  • Manage stock levels by analysing sales patterns and devising innovative solutions
  • Execute procurement functions, including developing and implementing product management and procurement frameworks, sourcing strategies, and negotiating agreements
  • Manage diverse stock lines, across multiple locations including minimum / maximum processes
About You
  • Graduate level qualification in Business Administration / Supply Chain / Procurement preferred, not essential
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Purchasing or Procurement position large line amount
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Be able to problem solve and work independently with initiative
  • Have strong analytical and financial background, confident with managing large budgets
  • Strong computer skills, ability to learn and use different software packages. Strong understanding and working ability with Excel
