As a Psychologist, you will be responsible for the delivery of clinical assessments and evidence based therapeutic mental health interventions to Indigenous clients and their families.  

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Provide culturally appropriate mental health psychological service to clients identified with mental health problems who are referred by GPs and other services. This will include clinical assessment, goals for intervention, treatment planning and evaluation.
  • Manage a case load of complex cases.
  • Assess all clients for possible comorbid conditions.
  • Assist in the planning, development and implementation of treatment and rehabilitation programs.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate client records, prepare reports and legal summary.
  • Provide clinical supervision through reflective practice frameworks.
  • Provide or facilitate consultation and support to Social Health staff as needed.
Mandatory qualifications and experience:
  • Qualified Psychologist with AHPRA registration
  • Willing to undertake a Criminal History Check
  • Current C Class Drivers License
  • Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication
  • Will consider minimal experience with relevant placements
