Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Project Engingeer to work with an Oil and Gas Industry leader, based at Melbourne Airport.

Main Functions

  • Data Accuracy and Compliance: Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Engineering Design Evaluations: Perform design evaluations, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling constraints.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze production, malfunction, and maintenance reports to identify and address issues.
  • Technical Support: Provide essential technical support throughout the engineering process.
  • Guideline Adherence: Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions under immediate supervision.
  • Project Management Backup: Serve as backup for the Project Manager as required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
  • Assist in identifying and sourcing long lead equipment, supporting FEED contractors until equipment assignment.
  • Coordinate the development of EMCAPS Gate 3 deliverables and oversee the creation of the Functional Interaction Plan.
  • Manage the project issues resolution process, handle change requests, and endorse change authorization.
  • Serve as the interface between the Project Team and Contractors, ensuring smooth transitions between project stages.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in an engineering field.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering, construction, and project management.
  • Extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, and work processes.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organisational, coordination, and planning skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs.
