Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer for an initial 3-month casual contract in their Mundijong office.

Title: Procurement Officer

Rate: $47-50 per hour plus Super (based on relevant experienced)
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours
Location: Mundijong, WA
Duration: 04/11/24 – 17/01/25 (approx. 3 months)

Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)

What's required
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide the effective procurement of goods and services for the Shire through the provision of specialist advice on purchasing issues, ensuring that purchasing is conducted in accordance with policy and legislation and contract management through the purchasing lifecycle.

Essential Experience
1. Experience in procurement and contract management.
2. Experience in the preparation and review of terms and conditions, specifications, negotiation and management of tenders and supply contracts.
3. Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, with ability to build strong relationships.
4. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and computer skills with demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite.
5. Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical decision making.

Desirable Experience
1. Previous Local Government Experience.
2. Experience in the use of Technology One system.

Pre-employment Requirements
Full working rights within Australia
Current National Police Clearance or willing to obtain if successful
Willing to undergo a Drug and Alcohol Screening
