Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced administrator for an Operational Support Officer position for 6-months maternity leave coverage in their Kwinana office.

Title: Operational Support Officer

Rate: $40.06 per hour plus Super

Location: Kwinana, WA
Hours per week: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
Contract duration: 6 months (maternity leave coverage)
Commencement: ASAP
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)

Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager Operations, the role provides high level administrative support services preparing and verifying cargo handling charges to customers.

Key duties include:
  • Prepare and assist in analysing Bulk Business key performance data and information.
  • Reconcile electricity invoices received from energy retailer for payment.
  • Prepare charges for services provided to customers at both Kwinana facilities.
  • Follow up verification of applicable charges in accordance with business processes.
  • Liaise with customers regarding invoice information including requesting/monitoring purchase orders.
  • Generate appropriate reports for customer charging, indicating costs, etc.
  • Track and report casual and contractor working hours.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative and customer service environment.
Technical, Professional and Specialist Skills
  • Well-developed PC and spreadsheet application skills
  • Experience using financial management systems·
  • Knowledge and experience with financial information and invoicing systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to understand shipping and bulk operations terminology, documentation, and operations is desirable.

  • Current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain
