About The role: 
The Finance Analyst holds a pivotal role in our transport ticketing company, managing and analyzing financial transactions and reconciliations. Your primary responsibilities involve monitoring and reconciling transactional data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and industry standards. Your expertise in financial analysis and meticulous attention to detail will contribute significantly to the integrity of our financial records and the overall financial health of the organization.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Monitoring: Monitor and analyze financial transactions, encompassing ticket sales, refunds, payments, and revenue streams, to guarantee completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls and industry standards.
  • Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of transactional data, such as bank deposits, sales reports, and payment records, to pinpoint and resolve any discrepancies or variances.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze transactional data to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes, revenue optimization, and risk mitigation.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and contribute to financial reports related to transactions, furnishing accurate and timely information to support management and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance transactional processes, workflows, and systems to boost efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.
  • Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements, furnishing necessary documentation and information as required.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and customer service teams, to ensure effective communication, alignment, and collaboration in transaction-related activities.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in transaction analysis, and share knowledge with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
About you: 
We are looking for a Financial Analyst with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a financial role, in the professional services industry preferred.  
In addition to being a great team player and strong communciation skills we are seeking
  • Strong financial and data analysis capability including financial modelling skills to perform comprehensive business performance analysis and forecast, cashflow monitoring and projection.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting regulations.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and tax software
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and/or Registration with Professional Bodies:
Mandatory: Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent.
Desirable: CA or CPA qualification in progress or completed
