Job Title: Field Practice Advisor
Employer: DFP Recruitment Client
Position Type: Permanent – Full Time 37.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: $110k-129k per annum + Super
Location: Bentley, WA 6102
Role Overview: This role focuses on developing and reviewing field practice documentation to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient work on electricity assets. It involves providing technical advice, creating work instructions, identifying improvements, supporting training development, and conducting field assurance activities to promote safety and compliance
 
Key Responsibilities;
  • Develop and review field practice documentation that addresses the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of work on electricity distribution, transmission and generation assets.
  • Develop work, equipment and support instructions for the safe execution of work involving new assets or technology.
  • Identify, research and implement improvements in tools, equipment and work techniques for work on or near electricity distribution, transmission and generation assets.
  • Provide technical advice on work that is conducted on or near electricity distribution, transmission and generation assets.
  • Contribute to the development of training relating to safe working on or near electricity distribution, transmission and generation assets.
  • Contribute to the development and review of technical work process and guidance including switching instruction, permitting systems, isolation procedures and testing instructions.
  • Provide advice and coaching to the client in the technical delivery of work on or near electricity distribution, transmission and generation assets.
  • Participate in incident investigations (where required).
  • Conduct field assurance activities to determine adherence to the clients field practice documentation, systems and processes.
  • Assist in the promotion of the client's Safety, Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
 
Essential to be successful in this role:  
  • A WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘CA’.
  • Trade or tertiary qualification related to electricity utilities (electrical, engineering, or safety qualification).
  • High Voltage Glove and Barrier qualification (desired).
  • An understanding of electricity utilities encompassing distribution and/or transmission and/or generation
  • Familiar with electricity and WHS legislation, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice, and ENA guidelines applicable to a utility business,
  • Strong experience in the development of technical work practice documentation and/or technical work instructions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and audits
  • Current valid NPC or ability to obtain
