Job description

Our client is a great opportunity for an experienced Procurement & Contracts Manager at the EL1 / EL2 equivalent for approximately 18 months.  They are seeking a qualified Procurement and Contracts Manager to manage procurement activities and contracts supporting the program outcomes. You will ensure procurement activities and contracts are effectively managed and compliant.

Responsibilities include:
  • Partner with the Program team to ensure procurement processes are timely, compliant, and maximise value.
  • Provide expert advice on Commonwealth Procurement Rules and IT sourcing policies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring terms align with objectives.
  • Maintain contract records and manage contract expenditure and expiry dates.
  • Monitor contract compliance and address disputes.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement and contract risks.
  • Improve contract management practices using best practices and data insights.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
  • Substantial experience with ICT Procurement and Contract Management in government.
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Procurement and Contract Management or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and related legislation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to provide situational leadership and work in a fast-paced environment.
 Mandatory Requirement
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and have a current Baseline security clearance.
