About our client 
This prominent Federal Government Department located within the Parliamentary Triangle works in areas relevant international relations and trade.
 
About the role
My client has is seeking to engage a Project Officer to assist the Civilian Armoured Vehicle (CAV) team in the management of the Department’s CAV capability. The successful candidate will work closely with the Armoured Vehicle (AV) team, business areas and technical experts to successfully deliver a range of service improvements and capabilities for CAVs. The Department operates and manages a fleet of over 100 CAVs constructed by a variety of armourers in over 20 locations internationally. The CAV’s are distributed throughout various locations around the world.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to project teams, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination of activities.
  • An ability to develop and maintain a service-oriented culture that provides high quality, reliable and timely support to the CAV Team.
  • Experience with designing and producing infographics to support project presentations, reports, and marketing materials.
  • Assist in the development and execution of communication plans, create content for various channels, and ensure clear and effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions and successful adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs and project plans, supporting the successful implementation of project initiatives.
  • An ability to assist in the development and implementation of frameworks, policies, guidelines and other resources that deliver business outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
 
About you
You have proven experience in project management and or vehicle fleet management experience in a similar environment.
 
You’ll be able to demonstrate
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in creating infographics and other visual aids.
  • Experience in change management practices and principles.
  • Experience in developing project plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or project management software.
