Devops Engineer
 
  • 12-months contract with possible extension
  • ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, WA
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • Baseline Clearance MANDATORY
  • Travel required to Canberra 1-2 times per quarter
 
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Devops Engineer to join our Federal Government Client team.  This role will be focusing on modernising business capabilities and replace core election ICT systems with a citizen- centric, agile technology platform.
 
Role responsibilities
  • Work effectively with the technical teams such as the development teams and DevOps teams.
  • Establish and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, and
  • Ensuring that cloud platforms are current in their toolsets, resilient, secure and automated wherever possible.
  • In collaboration with other teams in the work area, investigate and resolve complex issues with the operation of an application
  • Ensure deadlines are consistently met and that a high standard of technical and design documentation is provided
  • Assisting with cloud first deployment pipeline development
  • Perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed from time to time.

  • Creating and overseeing processes that manage the delivery pipeline from development through to production.
  • Working with project and operational teams to orchestrate delivery pipelines across design, build, test, deploy and run.
  • Implementing continuous improvements, strategy, and best practice development in the Cl/CD environment.
 
Mandatory Criteria
  • Exposure to DevSecOps using Azure DevOps
  • Relevant technology certifications across the cloud Infrastructure
  • Proven experience in working in a hybrid environment, and design moves from on-premises to cloud platforms.
  • Ability to understand and disseminate industry terminology and concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in developing pipelines that deploy Infrastructure as a code (IAC)
  • Good knowledge of implementing the IAC with CICD (Azure DevOps / Github)
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining complex Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Experience with GIT version control and common branching strategies
  • Experience Net Core and .Net framework Applications
  • Hands on experience with deploying and maintaining Azure resources including Azure App Service and similar.
Experience in working with major Cloud Platforms (e.g. Azure/ AWS / Google Cloud)
