DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Data modeller to join our Federal Government Client team. Data Modellers are computer systems engineers who design and implement data modelling solutions using relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases.
 
Role responsibilities

The Data Modeller will be responsible for, but not limited, to:
 
  • Analysing and translating business needs into long-term solution data
  • Evaluating existing data
  • Working with the development or Agile Delivery team to create conceptual data models and data
  • Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
  • Employing data modelling techniques to develop analytical solutions and make recommendations to business
  • Establishing sustainable automatic analytical
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and data professionals to identify and support process improvement opportunities within data governance and quality frameworks.
  • Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
  • Implementing data strategies and developing physical, conceptual and logical data models.
  • Updating and optimising local and metadata
  • Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and optimising data
  • Performing other duties as directed from time-to-time by Directors/Team Leaders or a
 
Mandatory Criteria
 
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with data
  • Demonstrated ability to use best practice data modelling methods and suitable data analysis tools and
  • Expert knowledge of metadata management and related
  • Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical
  • Strong interpersonal skills, understands and manages client expectations to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Experience with team
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and presentation
  • Proficient in writing technical documentation using appropriate templates/version control.
 
Desirable Criteria
 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Commonwealth frameworks, including ICT frameworks and Resource Management and data storage and warehousing solutions.
  • Certifications or training evidence in Data.
Others

Hold (or be able to obtain) minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 AGSVA Clearance.
