Communications Officer - SOR Location - Government Client
We are seeking an experienced Communications Officer for an initial 6-month contract with possible extension in Fremantle and Kwinana, WA.
Rate: $63.04 per hour plus Super (flat rate)
Commencement: ASAP (notice periods considered)
Contract Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
Location: Fremantle & Kwinana, WA (minimum 2 days per week in Kwinana)

Duties & Responsibilities
The Communications Officer will work across Fremantle Ports’ divisions to support internal and external communication projects.
Key duties include:
- Develop and execute strategies for communicating initiatives and projects to employees and stakeholders.
- Research, write, and deliver internal communication materials while assisting managers and supervisors in effective communication.
- Support the delivery of communication training.
- Liaise with various departments to gather information for publications and contribute to communication initiatives.
- Plan and execute communication activities as per strategic schedules.
- Capture photographs and video content for use in communication materials.
- Perform other communication-related tasks as required.
Required:
- Tertiary or industry qualification in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in developing and executing project communication strategies, including on-ground activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint.
- Experience in an operational environment.
