About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead the Civil Maintenance Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective day-to-day planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities in compliance with Australian Standards, WorkSafe regulations, and port policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise maintenance supervisors and contractors, ensuring routine work is scoped, planned, and executed in coordination with operational requirements.
  • Manage contract resources according to forecasted maintenance plans.
  • Provide technical advice and support on maintenance design, project scopes, schedules, and estimates.
  • Continuously assess plant reliability issues and implement improvements to maintain maximum plant availability.
  • Assist in managing maintenance budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Support ongoing development of the team and lead regular team meetings to plan and review work progress, providing updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Trade, Tertiary or relevant qualification in Civil, Building or Construction or related engineering discipline with a Builders Licence under the provisions of the Builders Registration Act.
  • Qualifications and experience in Procurement, Project Management, Contract Administration or Maintenance Management.
  • Proven track record coordinating/managing brownfield maintenance and construction-based projects.
  • Ability to manage and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors throughout a program of projects.
  • Well-developed experience in formulating maintenance and construction scopes of works, specifications, work methodologies, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Sound knowledge of Occupational Health Safety & Welfare Acts & Regulations and demonstrated ability to implement and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Well-developed computer skills across Microsoft Office suite & Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the maintenance or civil engineering sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards and WorkSafe regulations.
The ideal candidate will be able to commence immediately, working full time hours on a 12-month contract.
