Our client
Our client is a large federal government department that are seeking a meticulous Calibration Officer to join their dynamic team and contribute to this crucial initiative.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform calibration, testing, and maintenance of laboratory and field equipment to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Laboratory Manager, and other team members to schedule equipment calibrations efficiently.
  • Collect and analyze statistics, investigate operational issues, and report findings to stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and evaluation to support improvements in metrological observation systems and processes.
  • Document procedures, technical reports, and work instructions accurately.
  • Develop and test computer programs to support scientific and operational activities.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management standards and safety protocols.
Requirements:
Mandatory:
  • Willingness to obtain or possess a baseline security clearance.
  • Tertiary qualification (AQF Level 6 or higher) in a relevant technical field such as Physical Science, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Engineering.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in a Calibration or Testing Laboratory.
  • Familiarity with Metrology principles and Uncertainty in Measurement.
  • Knowledge of Temperature, Electrical measurement, or other meteorological phenomena.
  • Understanding of environmental monitoring in land, marine, or atmospheric settings.
