DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to engage in a temporary contract for 3 months with our State Government client based in Perth CBD.
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 3 months
Hourly rate between $35 - $42 p/h +super
Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week
The support officer is assigned a range of responsibilities and activities in the context of Business, Executive and administrative support. The role will work across a team of up to 20 staff and the ideal candidate will be someone with experience providing executive and administrative support as part of their skillset.

Responsibilities included:
General activities
- Provides high level support to executive staff and team.
- Develops and maintains effective communication links and working relationships.
- Focuses on service delivery and continuous improvement of services.
- Coordinates the preparation and monitoring of accounts, invoices and credit card reconciliations for authorisation.
- Assists with financial planning, monitoring, research and reporting in line with business needs and plans.
- Prepares and appropriately distributes documents, including letters, minutes of meetings, reports and agendas and briefing material, spreadsheets, presentations and itineraries.
- Coordinates and compiles input to reports, provides quality assurance and assists in report production.
- Maintains an effective correspondence and record management system to monitor and manage documents and records.
- Coordinates activities including preparing documents, briefs, submissions, correspondence Ministerials and Parliamentary Questions; screening and management of telephone calls; and liaison with stakeholders.
- Manages executive diary appointments and coordinates meetings by proactively scheduling, organising and prioritising meetings including official functions, events, training, visits and takes appropriate action.
- Organises travel arrangements, including travel proposals, accommodation bookings, itineraries and reconciliation of travel expenses for the executive, ensuring adherence to government and departmental travel policies and guidelines.
- Experience in either Business Support, Executive Support, or Administrative Support or a combination of those activities.
- Demonstrates conceptual, research, analytical and innovative problem solving skills to assist in the development of policy that is aligned to government policies and priorities.
- Deals effectively and professionally with contacts and team members.
- Shows commitment to achievement of work goals.
- Produces written documents and communicates clearly with a diverse range of people.
- Actively listens to others and clarifies expectations and understanding.
