Job description

Job Title: Business Improvement Officer
Employer: DFP Recruitment Client – State Government
Position Type: 6 month Full Time Casual Temporary Contract – Potential Extension
Pay Rate: $62 – 67 per hour + Super (Level 5)
Location: Fremantle, WA 6160
Key Responsibilities;
  • Drive the implementation, reporting on and monitoring of improvement initiatives, in line with change management best principles.
  • Assist with the design and development of improvements to business systems and processes, frameworks and training requirements.
  • Undertake other project work as required.
  • Monitor and consolidate project/program deliverables, schedules and resources.
  • Undertakes review and update of audit recommendations, in consultation with recommendation owners, including developing plans and controls to achieve compliance and improve processes, as well as assisting with embedding any agreed plans and treatments.
  • Supports the maintenance of governance frameworks as required.
  • Assists in the preparation of Executive, Board and Ministerial papers or presentations.
  • Undertakes other duties as directed.
 
Essential to be successful in this role:  
  1. Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing business improvement initiatives and effecting change across organisations.
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  3. Well-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to prepare a variety of documentation including preparation of complex correspondence, proposals, briefings and governance framework materials.
  4. Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills with the ability to provide strategic advice and interpretation on a wide range of issues.
  5. Proven skills and experience in project planning with the ability to organize and prioritise work to meet competing deadlines.
  6. Experience in the management of business procedures to ensure the achievement of operational outcomes.
  7. Applies and promotes the principles of work health and safety, equity and diversity in the workplace.
  1. Relevant experience and/or qualification in change management.
