About the Role:
In this dynamic position, you will manage various asset categories, including Roads and Drainage, Buildings and Operational Land, Recreation and Other Structures, and Water and Wastewater. Your primary focus will be driving improvements in asset management practices, from handover procedures to creating Asset Management Plans and facilitating ongoing training and knowledge-sharing across the council.

- Lead the enhancement of asset management practices across diverse infrastructure groups.
- Contribute to handover procedures, Asset Management Plans, and ensure best practices are followed.
- Develop and implement training resources such as procedural guides and cheat sheets.
- Lead condition assessments, valuation, and benchmarking, and prepare comprehensive reports for internal teams and auditors.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure assets are efficiently and effectively managed.
- Solid experience in asset management and infrastructure planning.
- Proficiency with asset management software like Civica/Authority (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and a drive to contribute innovative ideas for continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of the Hunter Region’s infrastructure is an advantage.
- A competitive salary range of $94,364 - $117,290 + super.
