About the role
My client has an opportunity for an APS5 People and Culture Advisor to join their team in either an ongoing (direct or s26) or non-going position. In this role you will work within a collaborative small team to provide partnerships across the organisation in the HR areas of Recruitment and Employee Experience. At times, you will assist with the development and provision of high quality, business focused, aligned, Employee Experience and capability and development initiatives.
 
Working with the manager of Recruitment and Employee experience, under limited direction your duties will include:
  • Facilitating end-to-end recruitment for the organisation including hiring of qualified candidates, managing merit pools and assisting with onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Partnering with business areas to develop recruitment strategies and innovative selection methodologies.
  • Assisting with recruitment reporting capability.
  • Supporting system enhancements and assisting with developing and implementing automated HR processes and functions wherever possible.
  • Maintaining a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks and procedures, in a supportive environment.
  • Providing accurate and timely advice, consistent with HR policies and processes, to stakeholders.
  • Taking responsibility for a self-managed workload by meeting deadlines, making decisions within parameters, and escalating to the Manager or Business Unit Head on complex issues.
  • At times, working in the employee experience domain to support the creation and delivery of high-quality, business-aligned initiatives related to employee experience, capability, and development.
  • Provide support to other team functions as required.
This is an exciting opportunity for a HR professional to expand their capability across all aspects of workforce management including contributing to strategic workforce planning and business process improvement within a small agency. The role will also gain exposure and contribute to other areas of HR including employee relations, diversity and inclusion, learning and development and performance management.
 
About you
You will bring your Experience of APS Recruitment processes and a keen interest in the broader HR space. You will be an adaptable and solutions-based thinker who can deliver recruitment, mobility and onboarding solutions in a dynamic and innovative work environment.
 
If you come from an APS Recruitment or a Recruitment Agency background with a sound understanding of APS recruitment processes, and have Aurion systems experience I want to speak with you.

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide sound advice and guidance regarding recruitment activities and working within the APS and the Agency's legislative and policy frameworks.

  • Demonstrated integrity and the ability to work as an effective team member who can be agile and innovative.
  • The capacity to work independently with limited guidance.

  • Commitment to providing quality advice and service to clients, with an emphasis on communicating effectively with a diverse range of staff and stakeholders.

Requirements
