Job description

This is your chance to work within the health sector for a unique Federal Government Agency based in the heart of the CBD.
 
Working within the Digital Strategy Division and reporting to the Director, Interoperability, the Project Officer will coordinate and assist in a range of moderately complex to complex project support activities, program and project management, with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability.

The Project Officer is an important conduit within the section, providing direct support to the project team, and through consultations and stakeholder engagement coordinates and contributes to the timely and accurate achievement of Division outcomes.

Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Support the coordination of actions and project outlined in the Interoperability Plan’s priority areas and other digital health-related initiatives
  • Collaborate and engage with stakeholders at a high level, both internal and external to the Agency, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure the smooth delivery of project milestones
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans, discussion papers and initiatives related to digital health and interoperability
  • Assist with the preparation of progress reports and updates to the Director Interoperability, and other key stakeholders as required
  • Promote a collaborative and positive working environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and knowledge sharing
  • Assist with the management of Agency procurement, contracts, and finance requirements
In addition, key experience, knowledge and skills include: 
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Project Officer within large organisations
  • Adept with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with numerous stakeholders via several means, including workshop facilitation
  • Knowledge of health or digital health projects
  • Project management qualification or relevant work experience is desirable
  • Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
