On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for an APS5 Legal Practice and Capability Officer. This role will work as part of the Legal Practice and Capability Branch Team. This is a 6 month Brisbane CBD based assignment, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day, paying $55.24 per hour plus super.
The Legal Operations team supports the Chief Counsel and General Counsel with a range of legal operational and/or administrative functions including the support of Administrative Review Tribunal matters and FOI requests and complaints.

As the APS5 Officer, you will;
- Engage key stakeholders, including the tribunal, internal and external lawyers and case managers and provide administrative and other supports
- Research and assess business system information, creating case summaries or work area documents including draft responses, correspondence, complaints and FOI requests
- Manage and complete administrative tasks
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and procedural documents
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to produce high quality work in a deadline driven environment
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Paralegal or similar (law admin) background is desirable
