Job description

Our valued State Government client is seeking an AO6 Senior Systems Administrator (Infrastructure) to join their team in Brisbane. In this key role, you will provide technical direction, implementation and support to maintain defined enterprise service levels in IT infrastructure, information security and supporting technology for the department to ensure high quality ICT services to multiple customers.
 
As the Senior Systems Administrator, you will:
  • Install, configure test, maintain and optimise cloud-based Microsoft environments for modern desktop management.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain and optimise Microsoft configuration solutions including Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), InTune and AutoPilot
  • Coordinate and perform software distribution, patch management, asset inventory, image build and deployment of software packages with Intune and Auto Pilot
  • Provide 2nd level support, including detailed analysis of IT system and security issues/problems as well as formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements, including documentation
  • Provide advice, operate and apply physical, procedural and technical information security controls to the desktop and associated server infrastructure components
  • Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, within the ITIL framework
  • Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to 1st level support staff
 To be successful in this you will have:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to embrace change by actively seeking new solutions and responding flexibly to changing requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in line with team commitments
  • Personal accountability for development and continuous self-improvement through sharing ideas and seeking out learning opportunities in everyday work Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders to support customer-focussed service delivery.
  • Analysis of IT systems and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements (SFIA Code: TECH Level 5) is highly desirable
  • Relevant experience and/or Certifications on:
  1. Microsoft-365 and Azure/Entra ID administration
  2. Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including application packaging, image build/deployment, and patching
  3. Microsoft InTune and AutoPilot including application packaging, image build/deployment, and company portal
  4. Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems (Windows 11, Server 2019 R2 and above)
