Our Client is a Federal Government body that supports Australians and their families by valuing a positive contemporary attitude to disability. This client is currently seeking an experienced APS3 Administration Officer to join their team. 

As an Administration Support Officer you will be responsible for providing a range of procedural, clerical, administrative and operational support to the Complex Support Needs Branch. This department focuses on providing support to people with a disability who may have additional complexities that need to be considered due to situational and personal factors. 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Managing a shared team email inbox, including appointments and telephone enquiries.
  • Coordinating both virtual and face to face meetings via Microsoft Teams.
  • Managing emails, coordinating and organising meetings, and undertaking general calendar management. Including preparing meeting agendas and minute taking.
  • Organising travel arrangements, fleet management and processing credit card acquittal requirements.
  • Undertaking research and investigation activities and preparing associated reports and correspondence.
  • Undertaking a range of data entry activities and ensuring follow up is completed.
  • Resolving enquiries and providing information to Internal and external stakeholders.
About You:
  • High level Administration Support experience.
  • Experience with diary and email management, scheduling meetings and coordinating travel.
  • Experience preparing documents and preparing correspondences.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience dealing with complex and confronting situations and information would be desirable.
  • Previous experience working within health or government departments would be desirable.
  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability.
