Program Test Manager – Government Project - East Perth - $120 per hour + Super - On-Site Only

Our state government client is currently seeking an experienced Program Test Manager to lead testing for a major transformation initiative. This is a high-impact role within a well-resourced program, offering the opportunity to drive meaningful change across the education sector.

Position Overview:
Rate: $120 per hour + Super (non-negotiable)
Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week
Duration: Initial 6-month contract with potential 6-month extension
Location: East Perth, WA
Engagement Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements; casual loading included)

Work Arrangement: On-site only – remote work is not available for this role

About the Program:
Program Kaartdijin is a large-scale digital transformation project aimed at replacing the legacy School Information System (SISClassic) with a modern, integrated administrative and finance solution. The program will support improved budget management and operational efficiency across Western Australian schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end testing function across two workstreams of the program
  • Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies including system integration and functional testing
  • Maintain and update the program’s Test Strategy and Test Plan in line with evolving requirements
  • Coordinate configuration management and ensure traceability of test activities and outcomes
  • Analyse performance testing results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Manage and mentor the testing team to ensure delivery within program timelines
  • Engage with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure testing requirements are met
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in senior Test Management roles within large ICT change programs
  • Proficient in test management tools such as PractiTest, JIRA, and Azure DevOps
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, particularly with performance testing and resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record of developing business processes and driving continuous improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High-quality, timely delivery of testing outputs
  • Strong stakeholder satisfaction in both service quality and communication
  • Ability to operate within defined program plans and adjust to evolving priorities
  • Collaboration with internal teams to ensure resourcing and capacity are effectively aligned
Additional Requirements:
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Ability to undergo and pass a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (facilitated by the client)
