Human Resources Advisor – State Government Contract
Location: Perth CBD
Rate: L3
Hours: Full-time
Duration: 3-6-month contract
The our client is Western Australia's main human services department, supporting individual, family, and community wellbeing. They collaborate with government and community partners on disability services, child protection, housing, homelessness, women's interests, community services, domestic violence prevention, seniors and ageing, volunteering, and youth.
We are seeking a Human Resources Advisor responsible for a wide range of HR services and tasks, including information provision and record keeping, to ensure timely and efficient Recruitment and HR services.
Position Duties and Responsibilities

Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret, apply, and advise on legislation, standards, awards, agreements, and department policies. Partner with business areas to provide best-practice advice on Recruitment and HR matters.
- Deliver responsive, effective, and solution-focused services. Identify and prioritize customer needs to ensure they are met.
- Research and apply effective applicant attraction strategies and assessment methodologies. Administer and support advertising and selection activities.
- Respond to enquiries, maintain information systems, liaise with applicants and managers, create and maintain accurate HR records, support quality assurance processes, and assist with HR systems and processes, providing advice and training as required.
- Contribute to policy and procedure development and engage in information sharing and knowledge management strategies.
- Stay informed on HR trends, seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction, and engage in training and development.
- Develop and maintain effective internal and external networks, and work collaboratively with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly and effectively using appropriate mediums.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of contemporary HR principles and practices.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and finalize tasks with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to quality customer service principles with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to prepare, collate, analyse, and maintain data with high accuracy.
