  • Federal Government opportunity based in Sydney CBD or Canberra, ACT
  • 8 months initial contract – with possible further extension
  • $63-71.00 per hour + superannuation
 
Our client develops and delivers policies and programs and advises the Australian Government on health, aged care and sport. They work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure better health for all Australians.
 
The Role:
 
The Aged Care Transformation and Quality (ACTQ) Branch delivers user-focused aged care IT systems, products and services largely focused on new-build foundational solutions to support future whole-of-Health and whole-of-government capabilities.
The branch also leads a number of key deliverables that contribute to the Aged Care Transformation Program (ACTP), including driving solutions under the new Government Provider Management System (GPMS).
 
Finance Officer responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting Directors to manage internal BAU and Project Budgets, including providing status reports to executive.
  • Supporting End of Month Financial Reporting activities, preparing monthly and ad-hoc reporting for directors and executive team and responding to internal requests for variance and other financial input
You will have:
  • 5+ years’ experience in Federal Government Financial area, expertise in financial reporting, month end cycles, budget management and accruals.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Improvement focus, results oriented, seeks to add value through improving processes and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
  • Demonstrated ability building and maintaining relationships with a network of internal stakeholders including Project Managers, Financial Business Partners, Reporting functions and Directors.
