Azure Engineer
 
  • 12-months contract with possible extension
  • ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, WA
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • Baseline Clearance MANDATORY
  • Travel required to Canberra 1-2 times per quarter
 
DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to join our Federal Government Client team. 
 
Role responsibilities
  • Work effectively across teams to provide systems expertise to enhance and improve existing solutions, including designing, developing, implementing, and testing solutions, in line with business requirements and software development standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to investigate and resolve complex issues with the operation of infrastructure and infrastructure as code.
  • Work effectively with other teams to investigate and resolve complex issues with the implementation of the Azure platform.
  • Ensure deadlines are consistently met and that a high standard of technical and design documentation is provided.
  • Define, develop and document the existing automation technologies to enhance the system's build, test and deployment
  • Assist the application development teams with the development and maintenance of DevOps continuous integration (Cl) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
  • Work as part of an Agile Delivery Teams or the System Team
 
Mandatory Criteria
 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing enterprise IT solutions consuming Azure services.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing, maintaining and migrating solution infrastructure to the Azure platform from on­ premises or other private cloud infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience with maintaining solution infrastructure on the Azure platform including:
  • Understanding of Azure networking concepts and technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles and processes in context of Infrastructure management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels and influence key
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements for cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and logging frameworks to ensure the reliability and security of deployed solutions.
