APS6 Portfolio Analyst
About the role
My client is seeking an APS6 Portfolio Analyst within the Policy Programs and Engagement Division.
The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) at the Agency has commenced a review of current tools, frameworks and processes and is embarking on an exciting journey of implementing key findings and recommendations. Each functional stream in the EPMO includes Portfolio Analysts who will work collaboratively to support their respective Directors and Managers to ensure that they uplift and embed best practice across programs and projects. It will be expected that the portfolio analysts will be customer focused on the delivery of the services.
The primary focus of this role will be to design learning and develop education resources in support of this Federal Government Agency’s strategic plan.

The Portfolio Analyst will provide detailed professional advice in relation to complex problems and may assist in strategic planning, program and project management and policy development. This role will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to difficult or sensitive issues and ay liaise with a range of stakeholders, support the relationships and interfaces between the EPMO and portfolio delivery functions.

- $62.85 to $70.91 per hour + super
- Woden Office with Hybrid Arrangements
- 12-month contract + 2 x 12 Month Extensions

About you
The Portfolio Analyst will provide detailed professional advice in relation to complex problems and may assist in strategic planning, program and project management and policy development. This role will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to difficult or sensitive issues and ay liaise with a range of stakeholders, support the relationships and interfaces between the EPMO and portfolio delivery functions.
You will be in experienced in and able to demonstrate the following:
- Solutions focused with well-honed critical analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience in undertaking assurance activities including project health checks and gate assurance
- High level of knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel, Project and Office systems including Office 365
- Experience in supporting portfolio prioritisation and planning
- Knowledge or experience in project management methodologies.
- Tertiary Qualifications in project management.
- Program and project management certification in MSP, Prince2, PMBOK, Agile or related methodologies.
