The Opportunity
On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for APS5 Social Media Officer to join the Media Branch. This is a 12-month assignment and can be based in Richmond or Geelong. The role will work a hybrid arrangement, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day and will be paying $55.24 per hour plus super.

Responsibilities include;
- Craft engaging social media posts that align with the agency’s brand and style guidelines.
- Assist in the development and execution of social media strategies.
- Build and nurture an online community by curating and sharing relevant third-party content.
- Utilise social media platforms and management tools to schedule and publish content.
- Analyse social media metrics to continuously refine and improve social media strategies.
- Prepare reports on social media performance, offering actionable insights for enhanced performance.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to create timely and relevant content across social media platforms.
- 1-2 years of experience managing social media for a national brand, or within local, state, or federal government.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality, creative content.
- Proven ability to produce accessible content in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with Hootsuite (or similar platforms) is highly desirable.
- Experience with social media analytics and paid social campaigns.
- Previous experience in disability or health sectors is a plus.
